- Well, first is that a modem log or a software log? Meaning, does
- this log actually ask your modem WHY it disconnected, or is it just
- watching the state of DCD and if it drops without the software dropping
- the connection it returns that the remote modem dropped the connection?
- Second, what type of modems do you ISP use? If they're AT&T based modems
- you might need to get a new EPROM for your modem to help with some
- incompatabilities (this may sound a bit strange, but your "AT&T" modem
- isn't based on AT&T hardware, either from AT&T ME or AT&T Paradyne who
- sell the modem, it's based on a Rockwell chipset). Actually, you may want
- to call AT&T tech support regardless of what type of modems your ISP uses
- and see if they can help you. In my experience, AT&T has very good tech
- support, even for their bottom of the line modems.
